U.S. Immigration Reform
If anyone watched the Democratic Party debate last night (21Feb2008) on CNN between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton at the University of Texas, you will notice that immigration reform took center stage again.
Immigration reform in the U.S. have been a sour topic and have divided many Americans for many years now and so, the American government should really do something to remedy this issue as soon as possible.
One of the mostly affected by this issue are those people who have proven that their permanent presence in that great nation will make America more economically and physically dominant in every arena of world affairs.
We’re talking about those young men and women who spent a great deal of their lives to get an American education.
America must do everything in its power to keep those people in the country to protect their nation’s interest. This group of people not only, in their own will and financial resources, adapted themselves to American standard of education - most of them have done their economic contribution to the country by working and paying taxes and have learned to love an American way of living.
It’s only proper that the U.S. government give this people the chance to become permanently a part of the American fabric because in the end it is their nation who will benefit more.
Canada’s been doing that lately, why not the U.S.?
