Canadian Visa - Where To Apply For Processing

A question that needs attention, and is usually asked about immigration by prospective applicants, whether they are only gathering information or seeking legal advise from a licensed or registered immigration consultant, is the place where to file an application for immigration in Canada.

Many prospective applicants for Canadian landed immigrant misses the fact that their place of application decides how fast or how slow their papers will be looked into by the local or regional Canadian bureau of citizenship and immigration. Processing time depends where the application is made.

If we take a look at Citizenship And Immigration Canada (CIC) chart for application finalization at their website, you will immediately notice where immigrant visa are processed faster.

For example, by region, 80% of all immigration applications are finalized better in the Americas than in Europe. And it is better to apply as a migrant in Africa or the Middle East then it is to submit your application in Asia or the Pacific.

So, let’s say you are a Chinese citizen working in Saudi Arabia and your contract in the workplace is to expire in two years but you wanted to apply as an immigrant. Instead of submitting your application in Saudi Arabia (documents in the Middle East are processed in London, England) where you are deemed a resident of that country as per Canadian immigration law but instead decides to apply for a Chinese visa application as Canadian landed immigrant in China, then you just blew your chance of shorter processing time in acquiring your visa.

So, if you are decided on living in Canada as a migrant and wanted it done at the shortest possible time, then better review the CIC chart and see where you have to be to hasten your application.

Visit the link that goes directly to CIC here.
